The salary range for this position is $310,000 to $365,000. This position is bonus eligible. Mintz offers a comprehensive benefits package.

 

Responsibilities

We are seeking an associate with 4+ years of transactional experience with the ability to quickly integrate and support the firm’s Venture Capital & Emerging Companies practice. Responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating venture capital investment agreements including NVCA forms
  • Leading negotiations of key terms of all venture capital investment agreements
  • Supervising, training and mentoring associates in all aspects of venture capital financing
  • Advising emerging companies on typical matters that arise in their day-to-day operations, including board and stockholder communications and approvals and equity awards

Collaboration with team members is an important component of any role at Mintz. Therefore, the firm encourages working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firm’s published guidelines.

 

Qualifications

  • Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Must be admitted or eligible for admission in Massachusetts
  • A minimum of four years of venture capital and emerging company practice experience
  • Knowledge of Excel and capitalization tables
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Professionalism in working and engaging with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and balance competing responsibilities
  • Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings
